A backwater Internet forum, something like SA's annoying kid brother. Only notable because they seem to worship SA, or perhaps despise it. They also tend to abuse SA catchphrases until they are thoroughly unfunny, and invent terrible catchphrases of their own. If someone is arriving here from Genmay, they need to take a vow of lurking immediately and not stop until they are totally washed clean of Genmay's crappiness.
Telltale signs of a Genmay frequent include:
- saying "photochop" instead of "Photoshop"
- replying with nothing but "shenanigans" (even worse: "shens")
- misspelling "the" as "teh", and "funny" as "funnay", and "drama" as "darma", and so forth. A few other terrible forums do this. You should never do this.
Most of this things will get you on the admins' nerves, and eventually banned.
Genmay likes to put boxes around the letters M and H, e.g. "photoc[h]op"; if someone does this they are most likely mocking Genmay.

Genmay history, if in fact anyone gives a ****:
Until 2002, the general discussion subforum of Kyle Bennett's Hard|OCP forums was called General Mayhem. It was the section devoted to everything not computer/overclocking related, and tended to be full of spam. It was also huge and had a lot of traffic, and had a tendency to try to emulate SA (for example, GenMay featured a 100+ page All Your Base photoshop thread shortly after the original appeared here). At any rate, at some point Mr. Bennett decided that the load on his servers that General Mayhem was responsible for wasn't worthwhile, and eliminated the forum, to the great dismay of many of its regulars.
Immediately afterward, in July 2002, some of the regulars started the new General Mayhem located at genmay.com / genmay.net. It has since then devolved into the den of retarded spam and tired catchphrases described below.
It is also of note that the letters in "genmay" can be rearranged to form "*** men."

The reason General [M]ayhem has so much stupidity is because of it's banning system, there are no moderators and people actually pay to get others banned. Registration is free however, so usually people just re-register, contrary to this forum where you must pay to re-register or register a new account.
Abuse of the paid banning/"name rape" service on Genmay has caused many of the smarter users to move away from the community, leaving it for the idiots who have made it the cesspool of stupidity that it has become.
